my photo ( the first one ) has very strong texture and contrast.

Painting with light- unedited
Hue and Saturation
Describe one of your photos from painting with light.
the picture i took when Bridgette swung the white lights in front of her. i really liked the lasso effect it had, while you could also see her whole body as well.
What shutter speed did you have the camera on?
a very slow shutter-speed. about 10 seconds for me. that way it could capture all of the lines
What light source did you use to create the painting?
we used multiple light sources, including wands, string lights, and lit up balls.
How did you achieve the image/effect?
i used a very slow shutter speed and then i also shined a flashlight on Bridgette so that i could also see her as well as her lights.
What impact does the photo have? How would the viewer feel looking at your photo?
it has a powerful impact. its sort of mysterious, you see a blurry figure with rings of light around it. something that gives a very eerie feel.

Select one of your images that show a shallow depth of field- the first picture of the lion and the butterfly
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a shallow depth of field?
i used an f-stop of around 4.
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
i used an ISO of around 500 and an Auto white balance setting.
Discuss one of your images that show a large depth of field--- 3rd pic of the lion and the butterfly
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a large depth of field?
i used an f-stop of around 1.8-2.
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
i used an iso of around 500 and an auto white balance setting.
Which photo is better? Why?
i believe the first picture of the lion and the butterfly is better because it focuses just on the butterfly and puts little to no focus on the lion in the background that is on the hunt for its prey.
Why would you want to use a shallow depth of field?
i would want to use a shallow depth of field if i want one thing to be in focus, say for a picture that shows a message or even to just focus on the central point of an image.
When/in what situation would a large depth of field be better?
i would use a larger depth of field when working with landscape images and other images that would show distance away from a certain point like a long road or a mountain.
